The DCA site hasn't worked for, like, a whole year now. Finally figured out FTP on this Mac and it's fixed now.
The DCA site can be found at http://www.doolinx.com/dca
Now that I've got FTP again, I might see what else I can do with it.

Post-Jordanism: noun- The artistic (cultural?) movement which began in late 2011. Works within this deal with themes of existential crisis, identity crisis, posttraumatic stress disorder, the state of being broken, intrusive thoughts of (non)existent(?) memory, the morbid preoccupation with suicide, grief, uncontrollable emotion, and darkness as a simple abstract concept. ex. 1: "Kill me."

A Possibility
[enter SHADE and RED]
Shade: ..what the fuck? I'm alive?
Red: I thought I was definitely dead, dead as a dodo.
Shade: I thought the end had come, EAT had eaten all.
Red: SHHHH, DON'T SPOIL IT!
Shade: What? It's just the end of the DCA.
[enter ALLITERATOR]
alli: Hey, how's it going. I wanted to let you guys know that you're in Rapture now. The story, not the.. not the place.
[SHADE is now SHAYDE; RED is now REDROCKINGHOOD, so.. so still RED]
Shayde: ..oh shit.
Red: That explains why I have boobs all of a sudden.
?: FOOL
Red: OH GOD IT'S MEPHILES
[enter FOOLAMANCER]
Fool: No, you weirdy. I'm Foolamancer! Sorry, I coughed there and said "Fool" randomly.
Shayde: That's an oddly specific thing to do when coughing.
Fool: Shut up; this is just a promotional teaser anyway.
[enter THE VISITOR]
Vis: sup
alli: Hey, how's it going.
Fool: Yo.
Vis: what we all doing in here?
Red: I have boobs.
Vis: i can see that.
[enter LIZARD BITE]
Liz: Heh, "Vis" rhymes with "Liz."
Vis: well hello to you too.
[enter MESSERTOD, EXORCISTGAMER, ALLANBAG, LOVEHOPERAINBOWS, and some other guy]
?: "Some other guy" I take offense to that.
[THESOMNAMBULIST!]
Som: That's better.
alli: What are you doing here? You were never a part of our party.
Som: Wasn't I invited?
Vis: yeah, but Djay didn't know your real name. i got to kill spidercats.
Som: I wanted to kill spidercats...
[Somnam kills some spidercats]
Som: Hooray!
[then he disappears]
Som: Aw. Bye, I guess.
[HEY FOLKS. I'M DJAY32. oh wait, I'm supposed to be at the other side of the planet, aren't I? Okay, looks like some things need explaining. HERE GOES]
alli: Right, hello. My name's alliterator. I alliterate. We have all been gathered here today to witness the teasing of some sort of.. wait, what'd you say it was?
[I DON'T TALK; WE'VE MOVED ON FROM THAT. THIS IS YOUR JOB.]
Fool: Beep beep meow!
[SHUT UP]
Red: I guess I'll do the honours. In OH GOD THE RAPTURE IS BURNING's August 22nd entry, a cast of characters was introduced.
All: THAT'S US! :D
Red: We are based on real people, but just as (five out of six of) the main protagonists became fictionalized, so have we!
Vis: are you saying that Donnie wasn't fictionalized? that she portrays her real self without flaw?
Red: You know what I mean!
[At the same time, I finished an eight-year-running script series which was, in many ways, the predecessor to Rapture. So I needed something else to do with my life.]
alli: So much for "We've moved on from that."Red: There was much potential in our characters! We were a cast of survivors who had found each other, formed memories, and had witty inside jokes amongst each other!Love: We also all had usernames, most of which weren't mentioned in the log. So readers are probably wondering who's talking.[I'M SORRY ABOUT THAT. For the record, I don't expect Rapture and this new project to cross much.]Red: The point is that DJay went and said "Hey, why don't I make a script set in the Raptureverse, and why don't I make it about those guys? It can be funny and stuff too!"[That's probably exactly what I said to myself. But yeah! That's right!]COMING SOON TO PROBABLY A TUMBLR NEAR YOU:The Adventures of the Fearbloggers: Rapture Talesby DJay32, based on characters by the Fearbloggersbased on a universe half-by DJay32 and half-by copyrighted things and shitALSO: THIS ISN'T ACTUALLY AS DEFINITE AS IT SOUNDS. There's a good chance nothing will become of this. No matter what, don't expect this anytime soon.

The Extremely-Abridged Summary of Dark Chao Adventures, Ending
So like I said, DCA's over now. And I had given a veeery brief summary of the plot up to Episode 84 before, but now I finished the rest of the story, so I'll finish the summary!
This, obviously, will have spoilers for the ending of Dark Chao Adventures. If you plan on reading the story eventually, I'd recommend taking caution here.
So Shade, Dark, Red, and Shadow manifest in Chao Talk in some random building. They cautiously explore before being forcibly evicted from the building, discovering they were on the fiftieth floor and also that they are falling considerably fast towards the street. They are saved mid-fall by Wilson Constable Kilburn, the grotesque abomination that is what's left of Dark's father.
Kilburn urges Dark to go along with the antagonists and to wipe the show completely, but Dark voices his concerns for a "good ending" (the chao left in their gardens to happily be in stasis indefinitely as I forget about the show). He directly asks me what "the end of DCA" will consist of, and I tell him that there's a good chance the entire show will just be wiped clean. I explain how difficult it would be to earn a happy ending here, and then Dark makes me promise that, at the very least, I won't force this last episode to be a feature-length epic. Which I do promise.
Then the Veteran's Committee come back in and turn out to be the Gatekeepers of Chao Talk, eight malevolent figures who are attempting to prevent the protagonists from fighting the Beta Avengers. And they also force Episode 85 closer towards chapter eight, which is to be the final chapter of DCA. And then most of the Chao Talk adventure is curtailed, with the other protagonists being introduced and the members of the Beta Avengers being shown as well. But rather unexpectedly, a lot of Hero chao are killed very graphically by "unexpected developments," which is kinda an arc phrase of the last two seasons.
All the protagonists and all the antagonists are gathered in the Camper Festival which is simultaneously in the fifth district of Chao Talk, making for double, potentially triple the eldritch. And then the MILKMAN gets full control of the script, making it exponentially more eldritch. More protagonists enter the story, and antagonist Andrew Ryder is killed. The MILKMAN swiftly replaces Ryder with a resurrected Metal Sonic, making the eldritch scale off the charts by this point.
The protagonists escape and continue progressing through the districts, with Red pondering on what all the build-up is building up to. Future Shade claims to be Shade from the past and then is wiped from the series. Future Shadow begs the chao not to continue the mindless cycle, and then he is wiped from the series as well. Chapter eight begins with the protagonists waking up in Sancheria and some characters being taken forever by the slender man.
The protagonists return to Daedalus Labs, still not seeing the bigger picture. They encounter Zero, who isn't even supposed to be alive. He suspiciously mentions there being more downsides to senseless bending of the script than any party is aware of, though when prompted on it, he only says "Unexpected developments are rising."
The protagonists and the antagonists meet up, the MILKMAN wipes JOE from the show, and MILKMAN reveals that he's extremely afraid of the eights and fives, of IT, and of Red Metal. And that's when Metal Speedy shows up! Metal Sonic is destroyed, Echo is killed, and chunks of DCA are completely wiped. All this time, the script switches to octave pentameter-- every line contains either eight words, five words, or some multiple of the two. Or replace "words" with "syllables."
In the climax, Episode 85 has forty characters total (eight times five), and then Shadow makes a desperate jump to grab five chaos drives, whereupon he becomes a Dark/Run chao and bends the script to defeat Metal Speedy. But Metal Speedy bends the script at the same time, so basically, all is wiped except for the Dark Garden, where sixteen protagonists manifest before Tagliare is murdered to make room for Metal Speedy. Dark breaks the octave pentameter and is swiftly murdered, followed by Zero and the Tails Doll, making the character count thirteen (eight plus five).
Chao is murdered next, followed by Red, Eggman, and Levity Nite and then Mephiles, bringing the count down to eight. Zero is killed next, and then I enter the scene, bringing it back up to eight. The female Shade comes up with a plan to get Metal Speedy to slip up his speech, leaving him vulnerable to IT. It works, though she is also killed in the process. As Metal Speedy is pulled down into IT, he grabs Shadow and Shade jumps down to save him. The three of them have a quick fight which ends in Metal Speedy's death. The remaining protagonists mourn over their absent friends before complying to the show being wiped.
All that is left is for the Writing Writer to explain to the reader what has happened to Ulysses, the one character who was not wiped. He explains this, and then he reveals that Shade and Shadow were never actually wiped. He explains the legacy of DCA, and then he gives more information about Ulysses.
Shade and Shadow are shown in an impossible town with impossible events in an impossible world. The Camper manifests, prompting them to go on the run. The Writing Writer explains to them that this Episode 88 exists because DCA has multiple facets that each need focus, even when ending, and that this last episode is the ending to the last facet. And then a wide gaping plot hole is exposed, ripping the plot wide open for a very special character to enter.
...god, this is where it... gets crazy.
EAT is Instability is IT is eight and five is Red Metal. You heard me right; EAT is the same as Instability, which is the same as IT, which is the same as eight and five, which is the same as Red Metal. They're all just different faces of the same eldritch, and each face needs focus even when ending. EAT rips her way into DCA and turns Amphis into (Future Red who then becomes regular) Red, turns Shade Junior into Levity Nite, and then loops DCA for key characters.
DCA is simultaneously running at two times-- normally for Shade, Shadow, and this first Red/Amphis, who are all living years and years in a hellish nightmare (they are the "Future" characters seen throughout the show) only to be wiped when the final episode comes again. DCA is also running on a perpetual loop in order to keep the logic going.
In the meantime, the show has looped back to Episode 85. We're shown "Future" Shade and Shadow's thoughts as they are wiped from existence. Then, as Shadow grabs his five chaos drives, he does not evolve to a Dark/Run chao, as that would imply he had another two. Instead, he simply grows a little more powerful, only to be overpowered by Metal Speedy. All of DCA is wiped except for the Dark Garden and Metal Speedy, who has one last conversation with the Writing Writer. He learns of the eldritch running through DCA and is quickly engulfed by it, trapped for eternity.
The Writing Writer gives one last eulogy for the show before rolling the credits for one last time. Whether or not the show is wiped is up to speculation.
Yeah, I'm not entirely sure what happened, either.

DCA is over!
Dark Chao Adventures has officially concluded. That link will take you to a list of links to the eighth season, which you actually can't find on the official site. I'll figure out how to update the site eventually, but for now, go to the site for the first seven seasons, and take that link at the top for the eighth season.
How many episodes did it take? Eighty-five. ..uh. Eighty-eight. Eighty-six. Eighty-nine? Y'know, that's actually really funny. I wrote the final episode, the 85th, and then I was like "Hang on, there's a gaping plot hole." So I ignored that and wrote two little post-script segments of myself talking to the reader (which actually has a lot of precedent in the show), and then I went "Oh okay, fuck it, I'll fix that plot hole" and then I realized there were actually a lot of plot holes I hadn't fixed. So I wrote an 88th episode, counting the two post-scripts as episodes of their own. ..ghost episodes. Eldritch episodes. And the 88th episode then looped back into the 85th episode, this time fixing the plot hole and ending it. But it was actually at least eight years after episode 85. But also thirty. But also at the exact same time.
So it took me 85/88 episodes. Let's just leave it at that.
...wait, what? DCA was eldritch before any of your stories were eldritch, fuck all y'all. DCA has been eldritch since 2006, when I was eleven. It's just taken me all these years to get it to work. It took me six years to explain the time travel, too.
I will sum up the plot of the ending soon.

The Extremely-Abridged Summary of Dark Chao Adventures, up to Episode 85
I need a place to just randomly talk about DCA. Because god, I want to.
Spoilers abound. If you plan on reading this show eventually, you might want to take caution.
So. What is happening at the current point in the story? Why is Episode 85 the last episode? ..god, get.. get ready, 'cause this plot isn't gonna be pretty.
For the first three seasons, we have the main protagonists established. We meet the chao, the Dark chao, the Hero chao, the rare Neutral guys. We meet the Poker Gang-- Metal Sonic, Mecha Knuckles, and the Tails Doll. Indirectly, you meet me, the writer. I make a lot of pretty damn bad mistakes. I break the fourth wall sometimes. I introduce the concept of "the future is terrifying" and time travel and meeting the chao's future selves. Shade is the main Dark chao to focus on for now, though.
Then we meet an oddity. We meet The Beta Avengers, comprised of four malevolent figures: The MILKMAN, JOE, Echo, and Tagliare. These guys are from an abandoned arc from a beta version of the second season, and they come into the proper series wanting to avenge all these abandoned arcs and ideas. The MILKMAN foreshadows that the sixth season will be really fucking crazy.
For the fourth season, we are introduced to another key element of the story: Chao Talk. It's a city, a horribly eldritch city based off Turrican's secretcity maps in Sven Co-op. The chao get lost there for a season, dying a lot and wondering how the hell they can get back to their homes. They get home, the MILKMAN strikes, they fight back and hold him off. And then it turns out Echo's spying on them, ominously flying over their homes.
The fifth season's just the chao trying to live normal lives as they know the Beta Avengers have something huge planned, and they know the sixth season is right around that corner. And Echo's making them anxious. And then during the finale, Shade is kidnapped and crazy stuff. Their homes are bombed. The Beta Avengers pretty much wage war on the protagonists entirely, and the sixth season begins.
SHORTLY BEFORE THE SIXTH SEASON, there is a bonus feature-length script about the chao waking up in Chao Talk again and doing an eldritch ontological mystery. It introduces Dark's father, Wilson Constable Kilburn, who is a complete monstrosity and comprised of, like.. blood and spider parts and shit, and he foreshadows the recurring motif of bad relationships with fathers. They are able to leave, and Dark gets a letter from his father basically saying "You will come back to Chao Talk again, har har har cryptic eldritch shit"
The sixth season consists of Shade going on a very long adventure, collecting seven chaos drives as a bit of a Fridge Brilliance pun on chaos emeralds, gaining power, becoming a Dark/Swim chao, and then challenging each member of the Beta Avengers. He defeats Tagliare (going by the pseudonym "Rage Tail"), bests Echo, outsmarts JOE, and then challenges the MILKMAN one-on-one. The MILKMAN turns out to be Shade's father, introducing the motif of odd relationships with fathers in the show. JOE turns out to be a Dalek and then turns out to be a chao who died in the very first episode and then turns out to be Metal Speedy, another abandoned character from the betas. Shade fixes all the plot holes he can think of, the Beta Avengers shut up, and all is well.
Season Seven starts off with the chao having wacky adventures, playing with presidential elections, playing with Jim Crow laws, playing with 9/11, all in all revealing that they're bored as hell, that Shade misses having epic adventures. I foreshadow tons of stuff after the 9/11 episode, saying in an epilogue that "DCA can never be over as long as he is still alive," and things seem to go quiet.
And here's where it gets complicated.
Shade does Metal Gear Solid 2, does the Tanker bit. He's introduced to this mysterious Levity Nite character. He's seemingly killed, goes missing for two years. In those two years, his rival Chao takes over the Dark Garden, in essence becoming a Dark Chaos Chao, which Shade grows to loathe and envy, but that's later. In those two years, everyone is certain Shade is dead. It's basically just MGS2. And the rest of MGS2 happens two in-story years later, as a green Dark chao named Shadow who was just a random minor character in all the seasons up until now becomes the main protagonist. Yes, The Scrappy becomes the main protagonist.
Shadow does MGS2's Plant bit in its entirety. The Patriots are revealed to be this strange group calling themselves The Veteran's Committee, except they want to end DCA. Shadow knows he has to stop them. MGS2 ends, and.. even more stuff happens, god, I can't even fucking begin.
Shadow and Shade come out of it alive, basically, and return to the gardens and meet up with Dark and Red, two other main protagonists from the sixth season and stuff, and they're all summoned to the Space-Time Rip beyond the planet of pure Dooky (STR) which was introduced in Episode 12, where the Daleks introduced in season three tell them the Veteran's Committee are seriously trying to end the show and basically, Shadow has to collect seven chaos drives of his own to become a Dark/Run chao so he and Shade can work together and stop them because they are way more powerful and risky than the Beta Avengers ever were.
They are sent to the future, where they go through Half-Life 2 except Doctor Breen is Doctor Eggman who finally got sick of not being taken seriously so he grew a pair and took over the world, thus introducing the concept of growing the beard. We are introduced to a few more members of the Veteran's Committee: Levity Nite, and Echo (formerly a Beta Avenger). They have some scenes of malevolent ominous talking as the chao have some scenes of fun stuff I dunno. Eventually, in the climax, Shadow defeats Metal Sonic, because Metal Sonic has also been a recurring antagonist throughout and I forgot to mention, and Eggman reveals he will give up complete control of the world if it means he can become a member of the Veteran's Committee.
And then Echo, playing the part of the G-Man, saves the protagonists from the explosion at the end of the game, and proposes a proposition: "Work with us. You have no choice." He then tells them the location of another chaos drive and sends them off.
The protagonists go to an eerie highway and meet the slender man and stuff except they don't even properly comprehend what they're looking at, but this is super foreshadowing stuff. Levity Nite tells them the next chaos drive is in Bioshock, basically, so they go and start doing that underwater and stuff. And that's when it turns out they were never underwater in the first place; they're in Chao Talk. Dark freaks out because he remembers the letter and stuff, and they're all sad.
And then the Veteran's Committee pull them out and say "DCA's been around for five years, go celebrate or some shit, also there's a chaos drive in your home so go get it" and then it turns out they were lying and Shade's father is sick with a sickness that turns out to be him regressing and turning back into the MILKMAN but it's really complicated, and Cham becomes JOE again, and Echo becomes.. well, Echo again, and.. shit, BUT THEY DON'T KNOW THIS YET, it just looks like people disappearing and dying and shit to them. And then references to the earlier seasons. AND THEN they go back to Chao Talk and finish what they started, Shadow meets his father and his father's one of the Veteran's Committee, Shadow gets his chaos drive, they get the hell out of dodge.
The fourth chaos drive is in the eldritch forest of Sancheria, which the chao go to on Halloween. They spend a full night in a rather Metroid-esque disturbing landscape with all kinds of what the fuck, the slender man shows up but you have to be paying really fucking good attention to even know when he's there, there are giant spiders and chao with no faces and waking up from dreams to find out you were never asleep, subways full of horses, and we're introduced to the recurring motif of Ulysses. Ulysses is an allegory for me, the writer, for shit going on in my life. Bad shit.
Meanwhile, the Poker Gang goes through Nightmare House 2 to get the fifth chaos drive while the chao are working, to get the job done quicker and stuff, and that goes horribly and they get split up even more and then SPOILERS, the leader of the Veteran's Committee shows up to save 'em. The leader is Shadow's future self, yes, as I said, the future is a recurring motif in this. But the reader doesn't know this is Future Shadow; they think he's regular Shadow, it's not revealed until season eight. And basically, the Poker Gang lies and says they can't find the chaos drive, so the Veteran's Committee decides to let them go and stop working for them but secretly they have the drive and start looking for Shadow to help him.
And here, the chao have to go through a very surreal adventure through prog stories to find the city of New York and.. and.. stop this Butterfly Collector guy who's one of the Veteran's Committee and stop the Gatekeepers who are an allegory for social services, and.. there's parts where the Veterans actually talk to me, the Writing Writer as I'm called, and I reveal that I'm only writing DCA to escape from my life, and the Veterans say "Believer, you'll leave [them] in leaving them all" and.. basically, they want me to stop writing DCA so I can move on with my life. But I want to write an ending, at the very least. So I write on. And I tell the protagonists this and they agree to, at least, help me with the ending if it means they can have peace in their lives as well with no more Veteran's Committee.
And that's when the Beta Avengers show up!
Sigh. Season Eight.
So Shadow is attacked by Echo and all his chaos drives are stolen. AND THEN the hiatus happens. I write Fear Mythos stuff, I put DCA on hold from May 2011 until, like, March of 2012. And as we've already established, DCA has no fourth wall. By the time I get back to writing, the chao have almost lost all hope and don't even fucking care about shit, they just want to end the show so when I forget about DCA, they can be left in a happy state. The Veteran's Committee then comes clean, Future Shadow reveals himself, and they say "This is what we have been trying to say from the beginning. Will you help us end the show?" And the protagonists agree.
They have a conversation with me which results in me spilling the last of the Ulysses story, and I tell them that basically, to end Dark Chao Adventures, they have to defeat the main source of conflict, the characters that have been causing trouble for the duration of pretty much the whole show. They have to defeat the Beta Avengers for once and for all. So they agree to it and go face the Beta Avengers one-on-one.
But something's changed. The Beta Avengers are tired of being rather shitty characters, as.. they kinda were; I was much younger when I made them. They demand respect, so they grow they beard just as Eggman did, just as this entire show did. Tagliare becomes a chao hybrid of betas and The Archangel, Echo stays Echo because I actually did develop his character well, JOE becomes a hybrid of betas and The Wooden Girl except.. male, and the MILKMAN stays what he has always been: The predecessor to The Beast. He is a creature no character can fully grasp the appearance of. They can make out a dark-red color scheme and occasionally green eyes, maybe some hands, maybe a mouth, but never anything definite.
And what more, the Beta Avengers are strong. They are no longer motivated by avenging some silly betas. Now they just want revenge for being treated so shoddily in the series, for being treated badly in the character creation process, for being just cast aside and having elements of them used in my other stories. They can bend the script to their will; they have always had this power, but they really start to take advantage of it.
But two can play at that. The chao finally become the characters they had been developing towards all along. Shade becomes the mentor, the middleman between pre-Season Seven Shade and Future Shade. Dark becomes the insecure buddy who wants respect even if he's not the brightest bulb in the box. Red becomes the smart guy who analyzes things properly and makes sense of the insanity of the show. Shadow becomes the foil for the entire show. He is the personification of growing the beard, of doing the hard work necessary for making a story respectable. He is given a trilby and a purple scarf, and he is properly represented as a messiah.
What more, the chao and the Veteran's Committee finally crack the Octavarium Code present in the majority of my works. I'll just pull this straight from the script:
What happens next, uh. The collective protagonists decide Shadow needs seven chaos drives, as it's one of the precursors the Writing Writer set for how to end the show. So they decide Shadow needs to find two drives and then he should re-steal his original five from Echo. But then it turns out the Beta Avengers are not only growing further in power, but they've stationed themselves in Chao Talk, which is also where a buttload of chaos drives have been detected.
For reference: Chao Talk was a terrifying place where everything operated on an entirely different set of laws before any chaos drives entered the picture. One chaos drive gave it the power to obfuscate an entire planet's laws of physics and drive its inhabitants insane. And now there are a lot of chaos drives there and an eldritch set of Beta Avengers who can bend the script with more skill than most of the protagonists combined.
And then the Beta Avengers start taking elements from my other works. The Camper Festival appears, complete with EAT.
So finally, the protagonists decide "Okay, we need to go to Chao Talk and do one last adventure to put an end to this show for once and for all."
And just after they leave, Future Shadow reveals to the reader that the forest of Sancheria is also involved in this somehow. Just for dramatic suspense.
That's where we are now. Episode 85 will be a feature-length script, and it will end everything. It's not going to be easy to write, but goddammit, I'm gonna have fun with it.
Any questions? :D
So yeah, 8 and 5 represent the end. They represent cycles and they represent the end of a cycle, or the point in a cycle where it ends and loops. This is evident in Built For Two, as the first post, made at 8:05 AM, is technically also one of the endings of the story. In Rapture, 8 and 5 are coming up more and more because the end is coming closer and closer. And in DCA, 8 and 5 started really showing up in season seven, because that season properly introduced the concept of the show ending.Chao: I want to get something straight.Red: Ask away.Chao: Why haven't we just.. killed [the Beta Avengers]?Shade: That's.. difficult to explain. For one thing, they're extremely formidable figures. For another thing, we're certain they have much planned.Red: And ultimately, whatever happens in this story is up to the Writing Writer. But DJay doesn't want to help until all the pieces are set.Chao: And what does that mean?ShadeF: It means we haven't reached the right episode yet. We're only on Episode 82, and we still have elements to introduce for the final battle.Chao: How do you know 82 isn't the last episode?Shadow: It's a matter of arc numbers, Chao.Chao: I thought DCA's arc number was 32.Shade: DCA doesn't really have an arc number, although that's probably a good guess if it had one. Eight and five, see, recur in DJay's works a lot these days. We think they only refer to the end.Shadow: I think 8 and 5 are IT.Red: You think, when a story begins to end, the numbers eight and five begin to creep in? And that when it ends, the eight and the five are all that's left?Shadow: Pretty much. The eight and the five are there to link DJay's stories together. They are the numerical representation of cycles and music.Chao: So. So are you saying Episode 85 will be the last episode because of the numbers, alone?Shadow: I'd wager a guess that DJay actually wasn't intending that, but he realized the numbers were there.

DCA is up to Episode 84.
The next episode will be the final episode of the entire series.
If you want to Archive Binge the series before the finale, goooood luck. Seriously. Eighty-five episodes. By the time you get to the seventh season, though, you're gonna be ready to stop. You'll be like "Okay, there are only eight seasons, and I'm on the seventh. I'm nearly done, right?"
And that's when you notice that Season Seven is to DCA what Act 5 is to Homestuck.
The difference being that I ACTUALLY KNOW WHEN TO END A STORY.
I hate that man too much, I'm sorry.
...ALSO I WAS DOING DCA WAY BEFORE HE WAS DOING HOMESTUCK, AND RAPTURE IS THE SPIRITUAL SUCCESSOR TO DCA, SO IT'S LIKE I WAS DOING HOMESTUCK WAY BEFORE HE WAS DOING IT. AND WAY BEFORE I EVEN KNEW ABOUT IT.
..I'm done now.

I wrote two and a half more episodes of DCA today. I intend on at least finishing this third before releasing them.
Let me reiterate: I'm almost done with the semi-final episode of the entire show. oh my god

WHAT SHOULD I DO
Well. Now I want to write something and don't know what.
Options: Built For Two. Literally nothing is stopping me from just writing the entire blog now. I know what's gonna happen.
Dark Chao Adventures. I'm on Episode 82. I need to finish this thing. 85's the last.
OH GOD THE RAPTURE IS BURNING. ..well, I mean. I can theoretically just write the next log and not release it until the accompaniment video is done. Which is kinda is, but I'm just waiting on some voices.
Topography Genera, yeah no I can easily do this. I've got the next Mordecai answering thing ready. I've got more than that ready. I know where the first movement's going and how it'll end. I think I'm waiting for The Endless Obsession, which I just need two more voices on.
The Parallels: Bright in the Face, okay there is nothing stopping me from writing this, I'm just not writing it.
The Dying Man blog. I'm doing one. But I think I'm waiting for The Endless Obsession first. That's pretty much the introduction of a few more Topography Genera plot elements, including The Dying Man.
And I mean, I could easily do all these right now. Hell, I really do want to do Built For Two and finally show you guys why I started the blog in the first place, why I was really excited about the project. But I mean, it's hard to really focus and want to write. But I'll figure it out.

Finally a new DCA.
I feel this warrants a post here. DCA's eighty-first episode is out now. This is the first episode I've made in almost a year, and guess what? It's one of the last I'll ever make!
I wouldn't recommend that episode being the first DCA-related thing anyone ever reads, though. If you're gonna read any DCA, go to the official site, click the big picture, click on the "Dark Garden/Episodes" link thing, and... OKAY DON'T START WITH EPISODE ONE. o____e OH GOD THAT IS NOT NECESSARY, I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO WRITE WHEN I WAS TEN. If you're gonna try to get into this mammoth of a story, start with Episode 51, "Shade is Cool," the first of Season Seven. There will be references that you won't get, as I play on the established themes of the earlier episodes very much. But just.. bah, I dunno, man!
Just. I'd really love if someone out there were to actually read all this stuff. But it's like getting someone to read Homestuck except it's not popular in the slightest. And it's strictly a text series. But I mean, there's all these episodes, and they suck for the first fifty or so. But you have to read the first fifty or else a lot of plot points won't make sense!
..my point is, Episode 81 is out. The entire show is coming to a close. I am the only human being in the history of my entire memory who has actually read all 81 episodes. Because of an FTP error, you can only read Episodes 80 and 81 on either Facebook or that blog linked in the second sentence.
Nobody's gonna read it, and I accept that. All I can do is keep advertising it.

Updates on my writing!
Okay, I don't remember the last time I actually wrote anything. This is a little bad, but then again, I guess I decided to take a little break. I've been burned out, y'know? I think I'm allowed to be burned out every now and then.
The fact that it happened in the middle of the Fearniversary, now that's a little annoying. But hey, I release tons of stuff anyway. Anyway, I promise I'll have something soon.
For one thing, I have been working on Episode 81 of DCA. I can now confirm that there will be five episodes until it all ends. Episode 85 will be the final one.
Gee, I wonder if people notice the arc numbers in my works yet. Here's some other writing news:
- Plush, the relaunch of Fair Game, isn't even a conventional fucking story. It's just a Wiki about a fictional video game. It could theoretically never be finished.
- The Endless Obsession, sequel to Testing in Progress, will come when I have a plot figured out. I'm trying to concentrate my writing so that I only write when I know the story very well.
- The relaunch of HELP, which will probably be called Help Me in Hell, will come when I have a few more things figured out. I have a rough idea of where to go with it, but I still need solids.
- Topography Genera Center East, I actually do have some pretty solid ideas of where to go with Liquid Len, and alliterator always seems to have something rad to do with Doctor Cloud. I've kinda been waiting for Jane for this one, but I can't blame her entirely; I also do not have enough ideas of the plot of the first few movements yet.
- The Parallels: Bright in the Face will come when I feel like sitting down and writing really good opening posts.
- For Rapture, I'm waiting on Fentzy to write another segment of a log. The last Fentzy log got great reception, so we're going for another one. For one thing, this time we actually have a great reason for Jordan to give Fentzy his journal. xD
- In other Rapture news, I'm waiting on the stars to align so I can record the next Knight of Xanadu video. I mean, Eric and I covered most of them when I was last in America, but we missed Bryan Breecrest, Robot Pirate, and.. well, our video for the spoiler'd last one isn't quite.. usable. For many reasons. So I'm gonna do those myself, and if I see Eric again, we'll do them "officially."
- Built for Two, I will finally go out and say that I don't actually have all the plot of that figured out. <___<;;; I do have a set number of entries left to the story, and there are key landmarks throughout that I know exactly the course of, but where we are now? I'm kinda just winging it. But I'm playing it very carefully, as I was seriously not expecting the crazy-good reception the story's been getting so far, and I want to try to keep it like that.
And yes, I do actually still have even more secret projects. xD I keep them secret not for publicity but actually just because I don't know where I'm gonna go with them.
So there you have it. My focuses at the moment are on DCA and Rapture, which.. aren't exactly unrelated, I suppose. They're both crazy-confusing comedy stories with some level of horror to them. DCA's just script, fanfiction (though I think it's safe to say I've pretty much turned everything original by now), and focusing more on comedy and meta, whereas Rapture's more horror-based journals with.. very little, if any, meta to it.
..whatever, yeah, you know what I mean.

What is "Dark Chao Adventures?"
Holy shit. I feel.. guys, I feel like writing DCA. I feel like writing DCA again. I feel like, at the very least, finally writing an ending for it. In the meantime, let me make the necessary post describing it.
Dark Chao Adventures
So waaaay back in 2005 (yeah, this was way back), I was a wee ten-year-old. I randomly felt the urge to write! So I found a forum (Chao Civic), found their fanfic section, and started a topic:
Dark Chao Adventures
All I can say is, Episode One: Chao In Space...
I got a reply shortly after. "ooh i cant wait!" shadowhalo, I believe, was the poster's name.
Now, here I will stop to explain what chao are for those not quite "in the know." Back at the turn of the century, Sonic Team released Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast, and later sequel Sonic Adventure 2. Both games got Gamecube ports years later. Both games had these optional little "chao" features which were basically a sort of.. breeding simulator. You could have multiple gardens filled with up to eight chao each, and.. here. Click that for the Wikipedia page; it'll do a better job at describing them than I can.
And see, a Dark chao is basically a chao that you raise with certain characters so it looks evil. But they're really just adorable. And they have their own garden called the "Dark Garden." When I was, like.. seven-ish, I had my own garden full of Darks. But Nathan, my brother, wanted to delete the chao from our memory card to make room for more games. I didn't really care. xD
Cut to May 2005, I'm remembering these chao, and I decide to make a little script in memory of the little dudes. I come up with everything completely on the spot, including the fact that it's a series. I had no idea at all where the fuck I was gonna go with it. So I just improvised!
I came up with, over the course of seven years, eight seasons. The first five seasons had eight episodes each, the sixth had ten, and the seventh had twenty-nine. Yeah. xD The eighth wound up only having one, as that was when I just stopped writing and focused on other things. Like Fearblogs.
So here, we have eighty episodes of a series you guys probably don't know much about. Let me try to give rough synopses.
Season One: Shade and Chao (2005): This stuff is really badly-written. I was ten. Though from the fifth episode onward, I started to realize I could actually come up with original plots, and the quality of the episodes started to improve greatly! This season had a very distinct Spongebob-meets-Invader ZIM really fucking cheesy and childish style to it. I was ten. <_<;;; Each episode had, on average, four "chapters." Each chapter was very short. Some had five. The season finale had eight chapters, I think.
Season Two Beta (2005): I started to get ambitious. Came up with a season-wide story arc involving a cast of antagonists called "the MILKMAN and Friends" and of protagonist Dark trying to get the seven Chaos Emeralds. A few episodes in, Chao Civic shut down and I lost my records of this season (though I was smart enough to save the first one on notepad!).
Season Two: Dark and Mephiles (2006): A year later, I start writing a blog and I remember this thing, so I decide to bring it back. I write a new second season with blackjack and hookers and shit. This was a little better in terms of quality, and I actually wrote some legitimately funny stuff. The three-part season finale involved a trip to the future, and some actually remotely-creepy scenes! My first experimentations with horror!
Season Three: The Beta Avengers (2007): I joined a new forum: CHAO TALK. This would be where I would write for a few years, and this would also be where I met a man that would introduce me to Fentzy and Jane. But that comes much later. For now, I made Season Three. These episodes had me experimenting more, figuring out what I wanted to write, what I enjoyed writing. Highlights included the "Mysterious Stardust" serial (three mystery stories that built up to a return of a foe from the Season Two Beta), the introduction of the Beta Avengers (a recurring group of antagonists that want to make sure the Season Two Beta got.. well, avenged), and the season finale "The Chao World" (my first ever 'feature-length' script, the length of three entire episodes!). By posting on Chao Talk, I also got plenty of fans. :DDDD
Season Four: Purflee and Luis (2007): So "The Chao World" was originally gonna be about.. eight times as long. But I wanted to release the general gist of things now, so I released it as a twelve-chapter finale and simply had the rest of the story be spread out through the next season. In it, the chao are lost on a strange world, in a strange city. Fun fact for you Rapture fans: The city they're stuck in is pretty much the embodiment of the secretcity maps from Sven Co-op, so this is the city that inspired Xanadu. It all concluded with, like.. crossovers with EarthBound and an exciting finale battle with the MILKMAN, head of the Beta Avengers. This season also introduced "third-party/freelance chao," or the chao of my fans'! As a result, this season was the fan-favourite for a while.
Season Five: Echo and Red (2007): The chao had now returned to their gardens after that wild adventure, and now one of the Beta Avengers, a Dark/Fly chao named Echo, was ominously flying over the Hero Garden, waiting for the right time to.. do something. This season was my attempt at writing "old-fashioned" episodes, simple episodic stuff, but I wound up realizing I love writing serial-based stories, so even the most standalone stories were connected by story arcs. I also experimented with playing with my readers' emotions, writing what I considered to be the "saddest episode ever." The season finale was a two-parter taking the story of Portal and expanding it into.. well, I don't know. xD It just expanded upon the ending.
DCAHall: Pelottaa Scary Stuff (2007): This was a standalone script serving as DCA's first ever Halloween special. Fans adored it, and I actually wrote some relatively-creepy stuff!
Season Six: The Grey Journey (2008): I had actually been building up this season ever since Season Three. It was gonna be an epic journey, playing on the themes of the Season Two Beta, starring main protagonist Shade as he traveled through several video games in search of seven "chaos drives," all while defeating the four most prominent members of the Beta Avengers. And it was! It was the most epic story I had ever written, but no one was around for it. All my fans left Chao Talk between seasons. ;__; I wound up writing entirely for myself, which gave me ample opportunities to experiment with whatever I wanted. I wrote some of the longest scripts I had ever made, some rather interesting original stories, and some pretty clever situational comedy based on the worlds the video games had established, and I played on as many themes I had established in the earlier seasons. I even had the season finale extend to two more episodes, making this ten-episode season the longest season yet. And its final episode was the exciting Episode Fifty! :D
DCAHall2: Gears n' Roses (2008): Another standalone script, this was the second Halloween special! This was also the single longest script I had ever written, coming in at around 144 kilobytes. Takes a good three-or-four hours to read, I'd say. This script was me taking Gears of War and making it a lot more.. well, scary. And it was legitimately scary at times! But again, people weren't really around to read it.
DCA09: The Secret City (2009): Behold, a script that didn't really belong anywhere! This was my transition from the cheesiness of Seasons One-Six to the epic scale of Season Seven. This was, for all intents and purposes, where I grew the beard. This standalone epic script, coming in at around 237-ish kilobytes, taking a good five hours to read, was about the chao finding themselves back in the city of Season Four. It was an exciting and rather-creepy ontological mystery, and it lends itself to a follow-up, possibly a sequel. Once the chao were done with the secretcity maps, I threw in as much of an original plot as I could come up with, and.. boy, was it good. Again, I don't particularly know anyone who read it. Maybe one person.
Season Seven: The End/The Veteran's Committee (2008-2011): Here it is. After the incredible adventures of the previous stories, the chao were back in their gardens and living normal lives. I wrote a couple episodic-comedy scripts before realizing that nobody was reading this shit, and I loved writing the epic adventures. So I took Season Seven and applied seven pounds of awesome to it. I had, at one point, planned on it having only eight episodes, with the latter half of the season taken up by a DCA rendition of Metal Gear Solid 2. But I quickly realized eight episodes was not enough time to tell the story of this season, so I came up with the plot of a new team of antagonists: The Veteran's Committee, who are out to end the show by any means necessary. I introduced a new main protagonist: Shadow the green Dark chao, who was only a minor character throughout the show so far. I threw him in with my usual main protagonists, making this new story revolve around him. He had to assemble seven chaos drives of his own to stop the show from ending, but little did he know, there were much darker forces at work dwelling beneath the shaded veils of the adventures.
Season Seven grew to last not a set number of episodes, but rather "as long as it takes for Shadow to stop the Veteran's Committee." He ventured through Metal Gear Solid 2; Half-Life 2; an original creepypasta introducing the slender man to the series; a bizarre hodge-podge of Bioshock, all the themes of the earlier seasons, and DCA09; an original feature-length horror story playing on the themes introduced in the earlier creepypasta and introducing many more; popular source mod Nightmare House 2; and an original feature-length adventure taking plots from as much prog as I could squeeze into the story. The season finale, a re-enactment of Genesis' The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, ended the season with narrator-- myself-- informing Shadow every reason why the show really should end. But I made sure to let him go on one last epic adventure before it all would come to a close.
DCAHall3: Sinister Serials of the Dark (2010): This epic script, standalone as it was, was not quite as standalone as the rest. This had three adventures in it, all adventures taking place in Season Seven. I actually read this entire script aloud in a podcast, and it took six hours. The main attraction was the second story, a five-act tale of the main protagonists exploring one hell of an eldritch location: the forest of Sancheria. This was one of the most consistently-scary stories I have ever written, and it is currently the longest single script in all of DCA. Next to Rapture, this is my favourite story I have ever written.
Season Eight (2011): One single episode was written continuing the adventure. I set up one hell of a story, but I stopped after that. :c
There, that's the rough synopsis of the entire show so far. Dark Chao Adventures has been one of the greatest things in my life. It is such a grand story, and it has offered so much experimentation for my writing. I would not be anywhere near as good a writer as I am if it weren't for DCA. I certainly wouldn't be able to write Rapture at the consistently-good quality it is.
And believe me, that was just the main series. There were quite a few spin-offs, bonus stories within the universe, shorts, even a text-adventure, and even a full twenty-mission RP!
You can read all of this at the official Dark Chao Adventures website. Except for Season Eight, which you can find here. I would love to have new readers. This story was such a huge part of my life. Rapture is its spiritual successor, and I think you'll see that if you read it, especially the later seasons.
And yes. I definitely want to finish this story. EDIT: I did, and here's the summary of the entire plot. And part two of that.
